Representative mandates

Advisor to companies in the pulp & paper (Abitibi-Bowater, Tembec), mining (Polycor) and primary aluminum (Aluminerie Alouette) industries during the negotiation of energy sourcing and raw-material supply agreements.

Negotiated the participation of a number of state-owned corporations (SGF, SGF Rexfor, SOQUIP, SOQUIA, SOQUEM, BDC, CDPQ) in industrial projects as minority partners, including the structuring of subordinated debt financing.

Assisted companies in the forestry (Abitibi-Bowater, Georgia Pacific, Canfor), mining (Georgia Marble, Polycor) and manufacturing (Poulies Maska, Disque Americ, Permacon) industries in acquisitions and sales of businesses in Canada and the United States.

Participated in the development, negotiation and creation of joint ventures in the agri-food (Exceldor, Groupe Brochu, Olymel, Multi-Marques) and forestry (Temrex, Abitibi-Bowater) industries.

Assisted a company in acquiring an integrated bulk-product loading, unloading and handling system in China in order to upgrade one if its Canadian marine terminals.

Acted as legal advisor to businesses in various purchase and sale, financing and public and private placement transactions, and corporate or debt restructuring.
